Edible Beauty Skincare Review

If you have been reading my blog for a while, it should come as no surprise that I prefer natural skincare. The other day I was looking around and saw this Australian brand called Edible Beauty that claimed that their products were edible. So I had to order everything and try it out to see if the hype was worth it. The Cleansing Milk is a milk to oil cleanser that gently cleanses the skin and smells like a field of limes. The cleanser left my face very hydrated and refreshed. The Citrus Rhapsody Toner Mist smells like oranges and feels super cooling and hydrating upon application, and I became obsessed with the Toner after trying it out. I was a little confused with the purifying sleeping mask with pink clay as it didn't completely absorb into my skin overnight; however, after removing my skin felt baby soft and looked very radiant. The Coco Bliss Intensive Repair Creme smells like hot Cocoa and felt refreshing while applying; however, it did have a strange texture that required a little bit of work to get it to begin to absorb into the skin. It did leave my skin very hydrated and brightened, which are benefits of Cocoa and Shea butter. The Exotic Goddess Ageless Serum was something I probably would not use again as it had a strange scent, took long to soak in, and felt very sticky. It did claim to have more Vitamin C than an Orange due to the Kakadu, which is native to Australia where Edible Beauty is made; however, I didn't feel more hydrated or brightened than if I would've used a Vitamin C derived from Oranges. The Deep Sea Collagen Elixir was hands down one of my favorite products due to the fact that it immediately soaked into my skin and felt so hydrating. The Deep Sea Collagen Elixir is jam-packed with Seaweed which contains high amounts of antioxidants as well as anti-inflammatory, I also love that it has collagen as it is something I am more focused on maintaining since I have turned 20 and collagen production slows down in our bodies. The Gold Rush Eye Cream felt okay at first; however, it left a slight burning sensation underneath my eye, and I realized it was due to Alcohol. I do not use products with Alcohol, especially underneath my eyes, as it can cause rashes, burning, and irritation, so I won't be using it again, especially for $65 for less than an ounce of product. The Vanilla Silk Hydrating Lotion was something I wanted to love, especially with the delicious vanilla scent. However, it feels like the lotion doesn’t get absorbed and stays greasy on the surface on my skin. My skin felt dry under the greasy layer, which I later realized was due to the Alcohol it contained, and I just don’t think it moisturizes my skin properly. Overall I have to say I do like the brand and the vision they have for natural skincare; I also did have fun filming a review for my Youtube Channel and eating/tasting Edible Beauty. I would recommend all the products I reviewed except for the Exotic Goddess Serum, Vanilla Silk Hydrating Lotion, and Gold Rush Eye Cream as they didn't react well with my skin. However, the rest of the products made my skin felt so hydrated and vibrant that I would definitely use everything else, especially the Cleanser, Toner, and Deep Sea Collagen Elixir. Thanks so much for reading xoxo -Chaz
