Honest Beauty/Company Skincare Review

Honest beauty is a  indie brand owned by Jessica Alba that focuses on  “Naturally derived ingredients”. The magic gel-to-milk cleanser was supposed to be detoxifying and it transformed from a gel to milk and it left my skin feeling soft with the rose water. The elevated hydration mist was supposed to be a next level hydration mist” however  my skin felt dry and it stung, it smells like an astringent  and I later realized it contained a few preservatives and alcohol. I didn’t feel revived or refreshed. I followed in with the Vitamin C Radiance serum which was supposed to be a brightening serum, however the vitamin c is a derivative sodium ascorbyl phosphate, which makes it less potent. It felt sticky and didn’t feel or smell like Vitamin C, I would’ve like for it to feel a little more hydrating, instead it felt sticky. The Deep Hydration Eye Cream claims to “delivers the hydration delicate skin craves to stay plump and healthy looking” however it irritated my skin and felt very heavy, it also contained a lot of alcohol. It felt mildly hydrating but I prefer gels over creams as they quickly absorb into skin and feel lightweight. The Organic Beauty Facial Oil contained a lot of antioxidants and I really liked it that it had avocado oil and apricot. It claimed to be “A skin care product and moisturizer all in one, this face oil will repair dehydrated skin and won't clog pores.” I really liked it and it felt very hydrating, the only thing I don’t like about it is the packaging due to the fact that it could oxidize quickly. Overall there were a few products I liked and a few that just didn’t do it for me, and it felt a little over priced and underwhelming for the quality it delivered. What I would recommend however is the face oil and the cleanser, I will link everything down below. Thanks so much for reading.
