Glow Recipe Skincare Review

Glow Recipe is a “natural, fruit-powered skincare designed to help bring out your inner glow”. I have used their Watermelon Sheet mask before, however they recently released an entire line so I got everything to try out. The Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser claims to be a deep cleansing gel, which I actually liked as a cleanser and made my skin more smooth and plump. You can also use the cleanser as a mask, however it made my skin red for a few hours so I didn’t love it as a mask. The Watermelon Sleeping Mask claimed to be a softening mask, and it smelled like raspberry and watermelon. The product settles so you have to mix it around a lot before applying, and I personally didn't like it even though I love products that contain seaweed, and it has a weird tingling sensation from alcohol which left my skin with a red rash. The Watermelon Glow PHA + BHA toner claimed to hydrate and refine pores, it had a gel like consistency and smelled like watermelon. It was alcohol free and plumped up my skin with hyaluronic acid as well as cactus water which moisturized my skin and left it smooth and relaxed. The Pineapple Vitamin C Serum claimed to brighten and smooth, it smells like pineapple however I didn’t like how it felt it felt tinkly. Also I don’t like that the Vitamin C is in clear medicine dispenser packaging as it makes it oxidize quicker so I rather use it when they switch packaging. The Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer claims to be a smoothing moisturizer, I really liked that it felt cooling and hydrated very well. The avocado eye gel claimed to be tightening and it was very moisturizing and cooling, I also loved that it had no Alcohol so I think this is my new replacement for the Kiehl’s avocado eye cream. The lip scrub claimed to remove dead skin while hydrating and I thought it felt nice as well as made my lips look more plump. Overall I’d probably only use a few items out of their collection again, due to alcohol or packaging however I did like lots of products like the avocado eye cream. Thanks so much for reading -Chaz.
