Aveeno Skincare Review
Aveeno is a skincare brand with the vision that“everything is rooted in our belief that balance is the key to wellbeing.” however they are not organic. I have used their body moisturizer before and personally did not like it but have not used the skincare. So I decided I would get the entire “Positively Radiant” line. The first product is a skin brightening daily scrub that claims to “gently remove impurities for softer skin” it contains soy extract and smells like it. The consiteency is strange and looks like micro beads it felt slightly refreshing at first but as I began to go around my face I started to feel a sharp tingling sensation along my cheeks. The Maxglow Infusion drops claims to “enhance your natural radiance and give you a lit-from-within glow” it also smelled like soy and it felt okay on my skin it just felt like a lightweight moisturizer at first but after a few minutes I realized that it left a sticky residue and it did not help calm the redness. The daily moisturizer with SPF 15 claims to “reveal more radiant-looking skin” it had a weird smell and felt very heavy while applying. After leaving it on for a few minutes my skin started to burn from the three types of alcohol it contains and I would not use it again. The Absolutely Ageless eye cream claims to “reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles with the help of Blackberry Complex which helps improve collagen production” it comes in a squeeze to apply eye roller, and was easy to apply, however when it was under my eyes it took a very long time to soak in due to the fact that it’s a cream and it caused some slight tingling. The Night Cream claimed to “wake up looking fresh and luminous” however I couldn't even fall asleep with it on because it burned my face and caused tons of redness due to the alcohol which I am extremely sensitive too. Overall I would say that if Aveeno was alcohol free and organic I would love it, however the properties of the soy extract have no benefit for my skin due to the alcohol which causes me irritations. Thanks so much for reading xoxo -Chaz
