I Dew Skincare Review
It should be no surprise to any of my readers that I am obsessed with trying out new brands. I get ads all the time for skincare lines, and I recently ran across one called I Dew Skincare within my blog as an ad. A couple of weeks later, they reached out to me through email and asked if I would review their products which I quickly agreed to as I love to try out new things. They sent me a PR kit with six products which claim to be cruelty free however they are not fully vegan which we will dive into in a minute (I promise). So I began by unboxing everything and reading what each specific product did. The first product I used was a Berry Melting Makeup Remover Balm which smelled amazing and turned from a balm to oil to cleanse the skin. I liked the whole idea of it and would definitely love it if I would've been wearing makeup while trying it however I just wanted a cleanser which they apparently don’t carry and maybe a oil in a pump system that way I don’t have to work the product around to get any. I then used a Thirst Things First Revitalizing Vitamin C Mist Mask which claimed to be a mask that you spray on containing lemon peel oil and pomegranate exact infused with vitamin to create a mask like effect through a spray. I at first was very intrigued and sprayed a couple sprits onto my face however the packaging and instructions didn’t say for how long I needed to wear it and I didn’t feel like anything was actually happening. However when I removed it my skin looked brightened and felt hydrated. I then used the Bright Side Up Brightening Vitamin C Serum which came in a dropper system which isn’t a secret that I dislike, but the first whiff of product I got smelled like Alcohol so I immediately checked the ingredients and it was the third ingredient which means it had a high concentration of it, and then when I went to apply it to my face just to try it out it had already dried out. So I defiantly won’t be using the serum again and the “Vitamin C” was purple which I have never seen so there were a couple indicators telling me it wasn’t a needed product. Since the serum didn’t apply, I still needed moisturizer so I used the Say You Dew Moisturizing Vitamin C Gel + Cream which is infused with banana and vitamin c as a gel. I love gel moisturizers, so I had no complaints about this as it absorbed into my skin quickly and was fragrance-free. I then went in with the Plush Party Buttery Vitamin C Lip Mask which at first felt dreamy and moisturizing however by the end when I needed to run out the door my lips looked like they had so much product on and I attempted to remove it with water which then made it turn into a rich white butter that I had to use a towel to remove. I think I would’ve liked this product more at night or during the winter when nobody is going to see me. The final product I used was the Glow Easy Vitamin C Lip Oil which applied very nicely with the angled applicator for lips and felt hydrating. However, if you are going to use this, I suggest using a small amount as it turns purple when you layer it on and I personally only like wearing neutral colors. Overall I liked some products from I Dew Skincare however some I just will not use again until they change certain formulas that have alcohol and packaging that makes certain products such as Vitamin C oxidize very quickly. Thanks so much for reading xoxo -Chaz
