Review of Article:
The outcome of this study found that “Brands should prioritize re-engaging existing customers in addition to their new customer acquisition plans because customer churn is expensive. It costs more to acquire a new customer than to keep an existing customer. It is also easier to sell to existing customers” (Spectrio.com). I also found that leveraging past customers to gain testimonials is a huge way of increasing awareness and credibility. I love that I researched this as now I myself am going to focus more on existing customers as there is already a connection established.
This can be a great insight for blog owners as there audience who likes there style and has purchased something based off of a post are more likely to repurchase something from said influencer/blogger or brand being promoted.
b. An Artist Profile/Essay
Personal
Art to me has always been an interpretation of what an individual identifies with based on past, present and potential future experiences. Through creating art physically such as paintings as well as online blogs I have found that my style is as modern and monochromatic with small twists of eccentric use of colors.
The main thing I want my art to communicate is art can bring g positivity and enhance expression through choice of statement pieces or styles. I also find that my art often expresses a sense of fantasy and mystery as well as unexpected pops of contrasting materials and colors to add a sense of vibrancy. My art to me allows myself and others to choose an aesthetic such as modern with a slight bit of edgy and allow self expression to flow. My personal style has always been different through use of monochromatic, modern, clean and crisp fitting which I have always mixed with a different material or color pop for flare, I realized it was my style quickly after wearing basic outfits as a kid just wanting to play at the park but always feeling more uncomfortable inside experimenting with the best way to style an outfit.
My style an approach is very different from other artists as I stick to what I feel is the most aligned with my personal style not focusing on what people claim they want but seeing myself as a consumer too and realizing if I like it I’m sure others will see some value in my self expression. I do appreciate feedback for style and art techniques of course as one is constantly learning however I personally like to make sure it fits with my brand and passion for self expression and uniqueness.
c. An Artist Manifesto
Viviene Westwood is more than just a brand but a way of looking at art as vivid. The fashion house run by eighty year old Westwood encompasses her eccentric use of colors and patterns which she claims brings life to the simple things. Westwood also is an advocate of cultural appropriation which she believes creates a bridge that links art with the past, present and future. The houses vision is to discourage consumerism and encourage individualism to allow individuals to identify and follow their deepest interests which could be expressed in the choice of colors or accessories. Westwood stands for provocativeness in a bland territory, allowing individuals to highlight and emphasize whatever they are naturally drawn to. The main distinction between Westwood and other designers is at Westwood we believe that integrity comes first through fair pay and collaborations with other creatives, as well as focus on the female body and emphasizing its shape. At Westwood we believe that it is important to emphasize the past while looking towards the future and that is why the brand will continue to create bold looks that take a turn on past looks and create a unique aesthetic. The aesthetic of Westwood is parody and punk culture with emphasizes on British materials, tailoring and techniques to emphasize a new wave of style and art.
