Honest Beauty Skincare Review

Honest Beauty, otherwise known by fans as Jessica Alba’s natural skincare line, is a very popular brand that is in a few different industries such as cleaning, makeup, skincare, and baby products. I have actually seen the beauty products all over social media, and came across them while at Nordstrom recently, and decided to get what they had available. Jessica Alba started this brand while pregnant as she suffered from an allergic reaction to a mainstream laundry detergent. Alba took her problem and created a natural solution, naming it Honest.

While unboxing, I loved the fact that the serum is in a glass bottle and is engraved, it saves trees and makes it easier to recycle. I like that Honest Beauty is transparent and ironically “honest” about their products and I love that they value natural ingredients against synthetic alternatives.

I began by following the recommended routine provided by beauty experts, which is usually a 7-step skincare routine if your getting a facial, that’s what most Estheticians follow while performing a facial. I started off with the Gentle Gel Cleanser which smelled liked and contained apple extract. I skipped toner because Nordstrom was sold out, so I followed up with the Vitamin C Radiance Serum which I applied generously. It felt cooling, which later reading the ingredient list I learned it contains aloe vera which is a natural cooling agent. On a separate day I tried out the same routine, but switched up the Vitamin C Radiance Serum for Stay Hydrated Hyaluronic Acid, which is more soothing and meant to promote collagen production for your skin. The Stay Hydrated Hyaluronic Acid Serum contains kiwi extracts, which are full of vitamin c, and are known for balancing skin tone, provides extra hydration and the packaging claims you can give yourself a face massage with this serum. I really enjoyed reviewing these products by Honest Beauty and love how my skin looks after using for a few days.
