Tom Ford Research Skincare Review
Tom Ford has become a legend through many different outlets, from fashion to films to makeup. Mr. Ford launched his Research skincare brand last year in 2019 by buying up a full lab and factory: “I wanted to start a serious skincare arm and have it be science-based.” I saw the launch of his products on Instagram with him in the lab wearing a lab coat. I decided I needed to try it out, and I was shocked at the prices—even for him, and especially for the amount of product. The Purifying Face Cleanser claims to be a “water-activated, foaming gel cleanser” that “conditions while it cleanses.” It smells like cedarwood and gently foams up, and it feels fantastic and leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated. The Intense Infusion Face Oil smells like a blend of citrus and florals. It claims to be “a luxurious and deeply penetrating oil-based serum that contains the most concentrated form of the Tom Ford infusing complex,” It does soak into the skin nicely and adds lots of hydration and plumping. The Radiant Moisture Soufflé claims to use small golden pearls that “enhance a sexy, natural glow,” while your “skin feels flooded with moisture,” becoming “plump and vibrant with youthful energy.” The Tom Ford Infusion Complex “infuses skin with a potent combination of specially selected nutrients that help stimulate its natural repair mechanisms,” It smells incredible, applies smoothly, and adds lots of moisture while leaving a smooth and glowy finish. I love the feeling of the moisturizer and love that it feels like a gel even though it’s a cream. It quickly absorbed into my skin and contained algae, which not only hydrates but repairs the skin at a molecular level. The eye cream for men was necessary for me to buy after I read the following description: “I believe an eye treatment is essential, not a luxury. The eyes are the first place people look when they meet you,” and I have to say I can’t agree more. I love that it feels like a gel and comes on a metal applicator that directly applies underneath your eyes. The eye treatment feels like a gel, and it has tons of delicious ingredients, like aloe and algae, which hydrate and repair the skin at the same time. I have to say that I love the eye treatment, and immediately after applying it, I could see my under-eyes plumping up and being hydrated, which truly does make this an essential, and the punch line has me hooked on this product. The lip balm has been a favorite of mine for a while as it is an orange PH balancing balm that changes to match your skin’s PH. I love the feeling of it, and it feels very hydrating while being unique and adapting to you. Overall, I love Tom Ford’s skincare launch, and I have to say I am very impressed with the benefits of the products, as well as the luxurious packaging, which adds to the experience.
