First Aid Beauty Skincare Review
First Aid Beauty is a brand that claims that their products “Our products will never send your skin into a tailspin.” I have recommended their moisturizers to tons of people in the past however I found some interesting ingredients that have caused irritation for me before. I got everything from cleanser to moisturizer so I could do it in an in-depth review. The Pure Skin Face Cleanser felt very gentle at first and was very airy, however after removing it, it felt very dry, and I realized that it had Alcohol which dried up my skin. The Ultra Repair Wild Oat Hydrating Toner claimed to be a milky toner that hydrates and soothes and is Alcohol-free, it felt terrific when I first applied it, but I started to feel irritation as it had Sodium Hydroxide which can cause redness and burning. The Purifying Mask with Red Clay is a peel-off mask that delivers detoxification and purification. The mask smelled like Rosemary and applied very quickly, as it was drying it started to tingle, so I took it off, my skin was super red and irritated, and I noticed it had Alcohol afterward. The Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum claimed to be a serum suitable for all skin types. It renews skin through Hyaluronic Acid, Collagen and Peptides help hydrate and soften skin. I liked that it was in an airtight package, and it felt hydrating at first, but then it started to irritate me a little. It made my skin feel sticky and made me feel oily after a while, it contained Sodium Hydroxide that can cause the skin to burn. The Retinol Eye Cream claimed to be a potent yet gentle rejuvenating eye cream, however it felt very heavy under my eyes, and my under eye skin got puffy after due to the Stearyl Alcohol, which causes burning so I wouldn’t use it under my eyes again. The Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer was one of my favorite products in their line, and it soaks in very well; however, this time it caused my skin to swell up from the Alcohol. I was shocked after going through all of these products, as I used to recommend this line to many. However, I didn’t realize until today that all the products contained Alcohol and unstable products. If your looking for an everyday product and do not have sensitive skin, I would recommend this. However, my skin has become even more sensitive recently from trying out specific lines, and this triggered my skin, so I will not be using First Aid Beauty again until they remove Alcohol from their brand.
