Kora Organics Turmeric Mask
Turmeric is an ingredient that has been used for thousands of years in skincare. The ancient Egyptians utilized turmeric for its anti-inflammatory benefits. It can be used to treat acne, heal wounds, and be used on sensitive skin to hydrate. While I was in Sephora the other day, I ran into the natural section, and I saw a turmeric mask. I've seen Kora Organics before on Instagram, so I decided to try it out. The mask claimed to be an invigorating two-in-one facial exfoliating mask formulated to revitalize, brighten, and support skin cell renewal. The mask was $48 and came in all gold packaging. When I first opened the mask, a strong odor came over me, and it was the turmeric. I applied the mask with a brush to prevent oils from transferring from my fingers. While applying the mask, I felt small microbeads exfoliating my skin, which I loved. It dried down fast and left the microbeads visible, which I then scrubbed in circular motions, and it came off very quickly. My skin looked radiant after washing off, and my skin looked smoother. Overall I loved the mask, but didn't like the smell. The smell is bearable if you light a candle because the benefits that follow are worth it. Overall, I would give this a 9/10 because I wish the smell were more delicate, but I loved how it brightened up my skin and removed all my dead skin.
